The Society of Fellows of The Culinary Institute of America exists to enhance the quality, excellence, and reputation of the CIA. It’s members serve as dedicated ambassadors and ardent champions of the college and its students. Resources provided by the Fellows help to fund scholarships, strengthen academic programs, and provide for facilities and technology that enhance the quality of education and the lives of students on CIA campuses.

Monday, March 30, 2009 Wine Program Off to a Good Start
The new CIA Society of Fellows Wine Program is designed to boost consumer interest and unit sales while generating funds for the Institute’s new Society of Fellows Scholarship. “This program has been great for us at Parkhurst Dining Services,” said Fellow Nick Camody, chief operating officer, on-site brands of Eat’n Park Hospitality Group. “We started with 56 cases and are getting ready to place another order.
Tuesday, April 28, 2009 John Dorman, Club Managers Interact with Students Fellow John Dorman ’78, general manager of New York City’s University Club, introduced 50 club managers to the CIA and its programs. The visit included a tour and lunch in the Escoffier Room, as well as a panel discussion for more than 100 students, faculty, and staff. Wednesday, April 29, 2009 Society of Fellows: Destination, Pittsburgh The Society of Fellows held its first destination weekend in Pittsburgh from Friday, April 17 through Sunday, April 19. Hosted by Fellow Nick Camody, the event was centered at the famed Duquesne Club. Fellows gathered at the club Friday for a wine and cheese reception and welcome by Nick and Fellows Leadership Council Chair Joel Spiro before walking to the highly acclaimed Six Penn Kitchen where Executive Chef Keith Fuller displayed his culinary creativity.

Joining the Fellows
The dedication of Fellows to the overall quality of the CIA is vital to maintaining the excellence, leadership, and professionalism of the Institute, and is essential to strengthening its position as the world’s premier culinary college. Membership is by invitation of the Fellows Leadership Council and includes an annual gift of $2,500 or more.
