Peter Mondavi, Jr. Speaks to Graduates of Two CIA Programs
Peter MondaviPeter “Pete” Mondavi, Jr., scion of one of Napa Valley’s leading wine making families, was keynote speaker at the March 27 graduation ceremony for the Accelerated Wine and Beverage and Accelerated Culinary Arts certificate programs at the CIA's Greystone campus. Mr. Mondavi advised graduates to use their newly honed skills to help people’s dining experiences become a break from the fast-paced cell phone world.

Registration Opens for The Food Business School
The Food Business School (FBS), the new center for executive and graduate education of the CIA, opened registration for its 2015 sessions and announced a suite of innovative educational programs taught by expert faculty.

Tribute to Chef Noble Masi
The CIA Family  has lost one of our legends. Heritage Professor and Chef Noble Masi passed away at Vassar Brothers Hospital at 6:30 P.M. on March 9, 2015.  He was 76 and it was far too early to lose him. Read more...

Debra Ponzek ’84 Delivers Commencement Address
Debra Ponzek '84, chef/owner of Aux Délices and Aux Délices Events in Fairfield County, CT, challenged graduates of The Culinary Institute of America to be not only skilled professionals, but also good colleagues and co-workers. Chef Ponzek delivered the commencement address at the CIA’s New York campus on March 27.

Alumnus Named President of World Association of Chefs Societies
Charles CarrollCharles Carroll '86, CEC®, AAC®, executive chef, River Oaks Country Club, Houston, was recently named president of the World Association of Chefs Societies. “Worldchefs spans over 105 countries and 10 million chefs, and I am proud to be a part of this great team,” said Carroll.

Women Chefs: Finding Their Place in the Industry
From young cooks to CIA graduates to some of the biggest names in the food world, women who dream of wearing the chef’s uniform have drawn much of their inspiration from female role models who came before them.
